Pat Ferns is a Principal of the International Institute for Television Leadership (IITL) and President of Ferns Productions Inc. as well as Direttore, RomaTvPitching at RomaFictionFest and Consultant to the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival. During his career, he has produced some of the world's leading television and new media industry events. These include the Banff Television Festival, the World Congress of Science Producers, the World Congress of History Producers, the World Congress of Arts Producers & Performance, nextMEDIA, News World International and the Alliance Atlantis Banff Television Executive Program (AABTEP).

Doug has more than 25 years experience in Leadership, Governance and Executive Development, Strategic Facilitation and overall Organizational Development. He has specialized in strategy formulation and implementation, high-risk environments, organizational leadership, branding, and sales/marketing/service development.
Doug Macnamara joined The Banff Centre in March, 1994 and served as Vice President, The Banff Centre and General Manager, The Banff Centre for Management until July 2001 when he left to set-up Banff Executive Leadership Inc.

Yves De Decker has more than 30 years experience in management and in leadership out of which 18 years in several Senior Executive positions. He likes to manage CHANGE while achieving the business objectives and creating the right spirit in the organizations he manages. He is specialized in turn around both in growth and downturn conditions, in strategy, in operational financials, in HR and in marketing.
Yves experienced a wide range of industries from IT over Services, Retail, Manufacturing and Advertising to Healthcare.

Jon KINGSBURY - 2010 Leadership seminar
Jon Kingsbury runs the Creative Economy Innovation Programme at NESTA, with a remit to encourage growth in creative businesses by developing successful models for innovation.
He previously worked at the BBC as Head of External Supply, Future Media & Technology where his role was to improve the organisation's engagement with external creative suppliers. Before becoming interested in driving creative business growth, Jon held a number of senior editorial commissioning roles at the BBC and Channel 4, always in the space where linear TV broadcasting meets interactive content.
Jon is a board member of Screen Yorkshire.


Mostapha Mellouk

Mostapha MELLOUK - 2010 Leadership seminar
Mostapha Mellouk is currently the founder & CEO of Mediacom investment fund.
During 2009 and beginning 2010, he acted as General Manager of the satellite news channel Medi1Sat. He worked also during 3 years as Deputy General Manager of Al Jazeera Children’s Channel, a free to air TV based in Doha, broadcasting on Arabsat, Nilesat, and Hotbird, reaching all Arab countries and Europe, launched in 2005 by Qatar Foundation & Aljazeera Network.
His career started in 1988 with the launch of the Moroccan TV channel 2M where he spent 12 years, acting for more than 8 years as Programs Director.
Lecturer on Media and Development at United Nations, Council of Europe and European Social Forum, Mostapha Mellouk is also a member of several committees and associations involved in the Moroccan and international audiovisual sector.
Mostapha Mellouk graduated from ESCP (Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris).


Leena Pasanen

Leena PASANEN - 2010 Leadership seminar
Leena Pasanen started her carrier as a journalist in 1988 at the Finnish News Agency, first as a reporter and later on as a political commentator in the Parliament house.
In 1993 she joined YLE, Finnish Broadcasting Company, where she worked as a reporter, political commentator, subeditor and TV presenter for the current affairs magazine programme on YLE TV1. After that she was the head of documentaries for YLE TV1 years 1999-2000.
When YLE launched new digital channels, she was chosen as Head of Programmes responsible for cultural, factual and fiction programmes in YLE Teema, a channel focused on culture, science and education. She stayed with the channel until November 2005 when she started her work as the director of EDN, European Documentary Network in Copenhagen. In November 2008 she returned to YLE in Finland as Coordinator of Programmes at YLE Fact and Culture and is leading a two-year pilot project on 360 degree commissioning.
She’s been a regular expert, tutor and lecturer for several training programmes, for example EDN, Discovery Campus, EURODOC and Television Business School.
She’s an EURODOC graduate year 1999 and a member of the international advisory committee of Hot Docs. She’s also been a member of the board of IDFA Forum, INPUT and the Bonnier’s Journalistic Award in Finland.
