DLP SESSION ON STRATEGY AND INNOVATION
[08/03/2010]

DLP C1 Seminar 4

The latest onsite session of the media management online training in Strasbourg targeted 'the future of the media industry' in terms of clarifying the following questions...

(1) What will our strategy be, as a producer and as a broadcaster?
(2) How will we organize to innovate?

From 27 February to 3 March, media business specialists and academics presented not only the foundations of 'Corporate Strategy' and 'Innovation', but also very personal accounts of the incremental, but severe changes that the media industry is going through right now and how this will affect future business. Apart from the corporate world, our speakers also touched on the development in social media and a variety of new platforms in order to discuss roles and potential in a future that will clearly be dominated by 'networked media'.

After a compelling week in Strasbourg with lively debates and the certainty to have attained a much clearer view on what 'networked media business' will look like, the participants now strive to widen and consolidate their knowledge over the next three months in the online part of the training programme.
